XBOX PLACES covers live events including broadcasts and potential theme park locations. These venues provide fans with physical ways to engage with the content online.

Kayleen Walters now leads the entire effort as the president of XBOX XP. She previously guided Mojang through successful years after spending thirteen years at LucasFilm.

She served as an executive producer on an A Minecraft Movie during her previous work. Her leadership brings film industry experience directly to the gaming studio hierarchy.

A separate leadership appointment places Maria Angelidou-Smith as the new CEO of Mojang and Minecraft. She arrives from backgrounds at Meta and Reddit following Walters promotion.
