Tidavo is a technology paper. Reading it does not require an account.

The server log

The machine keeps an ordinary request log: the time, the page, the browser, and the network address. Those lines stay on the server and are used to run and protect the site.

Statistics

Visit counts stay off until you allow them. If you allow them, Google Analytics receives the page you opened, a general description of the browser and screen, and an identifier stored in a cookie. Google uses that to count visits. Tidavo does not sell this, and the site carries no advertising.

Refuse, or withdraw an earlier yes, with the buttons below. Refusing stops further counts and clears the analytics cookies this site can see. A visit already sent remains in Google’s reports. Google’s privacy policy describes what Google does with it.

The text-size control and this choice stay in this browser. They are not sent to Tidavo.

The desk

Editors sign in with Google. The sign-in cookie is set only after that succeeds. Reading the paper does not set it.
