TEAM42 announced that its free‑to‑play monster‑taming MMORPG World of Slime will be part of Steam Next Fest from Oct. 19 to Oct. 26, 2026. A demo update adds Noecheon Village, a region inspired by traditional Korean villages, and introduces new wind and electric slimes. The update also brings new quests and new slime‑synthesis combinations.
Game Monetization and Launch
The game offers a gacha‑free collection system, letting players capture or synthesize every slime. Monetization comes from optional skins and convenience items such as town‑return scrolls, but no randomized items are sold. TEAM42 plans to open mobile pre‑registration in November 2026 and to launch both PC and mobile versions in December 2026. The title will support 18 languages, including English, Korean, Japanese, and several others.
The updated demo is already available for download on the World of Slime Steam page, letting players try the new content before the fest starts. Players can explore Noecheon Village, capture the new slimes, and test the collection system.
