The Witch on the Holy Night Twitter account posted a new visual from ufotable and Shaft to mark the partnership between the video game and the Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime. The illustration shows Madoka in her God form pulling back a bow while Aoko casts a spell, blending the two studios’ styles. The image was shared on October 14, 2026, as part of the collaboration’s announcement.
The visual promotes two upcoming movies. Walpurgisnacht Rising is airing in Japanese theaters, and will reach U.S. audiences on January 16, 2027. The Witch on the Holy Night film is already playing in Japan on November 20, 2026, and will open internationally on January 29, 2027.
Fans in Japan can enter a contest to win an exclusive poster featuring both films. The contest was announced alongside the artwork reveal on October 14, 2026.
The Witch on the Holy Night game is available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Windows PC, and will launch on mobile devices on November 20, 2026. It has sold over 200,000 units worldwide. Puella Magi Madoka Magica is also available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
