Williams has announced a year‑long celebration for its 50th season in Formula 1, set for 2027. The programme will feature W50 Live, a London exhibition at Leake Street in Waterloo that will display historic cars such as the FW06 and FW38, and a specially named car for the 2027 season, the FW50. Supporters will vote on a one‑time livery for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. With these plans, Williams will join Ferrari and McLaren as the only constructors to reach five decades of continuous participation.

The W50 Live show will run from 11 to 28 February 2027 and will include six iconic Williams cars, including the first model built by the team and vehicles that won championships for Nelson Piquet, Nigel Mansell and Jacques Villeneuve. The exhibition is located near a site where Patrick Head once worked, linking the event to the team’s origins. At Silverstone, the fan‑selected design will appear on the FW50 for a single race, honouring the circuit’s history of Williams victories such as the first win in 1979 and the 100th in 1997. In addition, the team will issue anniversary merchandise, including a special Monopoly set and a commemorative book.
