Ubisoft has announced that it will close its Finnish studio RedLynx, a move that could affect up to 52 positions as the company works through local change negotiations.

In addition to the Finnish closure, Ubisoft plans to cut 70 jobs at its Singapore studio, a decision aimed at aligning the team with upcoming production needs.

RedLynx, founded in August 2000, is best known for its Trials side‑scroller series, a franchise that has remained its focus since the studio was acquired by Ubisoft in 2011.

The studio’s most recent title, Trials Rising, was released in 2019, while Ubisoft Singapore’s latest project was Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, launched earlier this year.

Ubisoft’s announcement comes amid a broader corporate reshuffle designed to reduce costs and streamline operations, leading to studio closures, layoffs, and project cancellations across the company.

In its statement, Ubisoft emphasized its commitment to supporting affected teams throughout the process, expressing deep appreciation for the contributions of both studios’ employees.
