A new anniversary poster and a 10‑second teaser were released, featuring a lone figure among glowing light‑bulbs and the tagline, “Are You Watching Closely?”
The movie follows rival Victorian magicians Robert Angier (Hugh Jackman) and Alfred Borden (Christian Bale) as their friendship turns into a lifelong war after a trick goes fatally wrong; the cast also includes Michael Caine, Scarlett Johansson, Rebecca Hall, Andy Serkis and David Bowie as Nikola Tesla.
The re‑release follows a strong trend for Nolan’s films in IMAX—“The Odyssey” became the highest‑grossing IMAX release ever, and a 2024 IMAX re‑release of “Interstellar” performed well—making a 70 mm and IMAX showing of “The Prestige” a natural fit for fans and new audiences alike.
