Tesla has issued a recall for 131,726 left‑hand‑drive Model 3 Premium sedans built at its Shanghai Gigafactory, covering the European Union, Middle East, and South Korea.

The recall is triggered by a far‑side airbag software flaw that can push shoulder loading beyond the 3.0 kN limit in a pole‑collision test, where a 32 km/h impact on the driver's door was used to evaluate safety.

The fix is a software update delivered over the air, updating the airbag calibration file in versions 2026.26.100.2, 2026.32.3 or later; service technicians use codes S012600006 or S02260006 to determine whether an update is required.
