Suki has raised $90 million in a new funding round called Series E. This money will help the company grow its artificial intelligence tools for doctors and hospitals. The announcement was made by CEO Punit Soni in interviews with reporters.
New investors joined existing backers to support this financial round. Healthier Capital, Crosslink Capital, and Hercules Capital are the new names adding funds. Previous partners like Venrock and Philips Ventures also contributed to the financing.
Soni says the company is focusing on three main areas with this capital. They plan to advance their AI technology, grow their sales team, and expand partner connections. The goal is to make sure health systems get better tools without added confusion.
Healthcare AI is moving beyond just writing notes from doctor visits. Systems want intelligence that can help with clinical decisions and financial performance. Soni believes the industry does not need another group of disconnected tools working separately.
The company recently introduced a tool called Suki Ask for complex questions. It uses Wolters Kluwer's UpToDate Expert AI API to provide evidence-based answers. This is the first time that specific technology has been integrated into a product like this.
