Scott Taylor Motorsport (STM) has confirmed it will compete in the 2027 Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour, becoming the first team to publicly declare its entry for the event. The lineup remains unchanged, with Supercars stars Chaz Mostert, Cameron Waters and Thomas Randle, alongside team manager Barry Ryan. The car is a Mercedes‑AMG GT3 EVO prepared by Ashley Seward Motorsport. Owner Scott Taylor said the team believes it has the capability to win and is “determined for redemption” after last year’s disappointment.

Last year's performance

Last year, Waters secured pole position but the race ended in retirement when a late‑hour collision with another Mercedes‑AMG collected Mostert. Earlier in the event a spin involving Randle and contact between Mostert and Jayden Ojeda left the car damaged. Despite strong pace, the team’s performance fell short, prompting the return. Event director Shane Rudzis welcomed STM back and praised their commitment to the Bathurst 12 Hour.

For 2027, STM will run the same driver and car package but will introduce new commercial partners later. A multi‑day, multi‑venue test programme is planned to prepare the team for the opening round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge on 12‑14 February 2027 at Mount Panorama.
