Stellantis announced an additional investment of about Rs. 4000 crore in India for the next three years, bringing its total spend in the country to roughly Rs. 15,000 crore by 2030, up from more than Rs. 11,000 crore already committed. The new capital will support the launch of 12 products across the Jeep and Citroën brands, including seven all‑new vehicles and five major upgrades.
Vehicle mix and launch schedule
The rollout will focus mainly on SUVs, adding a multi‑purpose vehicle and a premium pickup truck. Seven entirely new cars and five major updates will debut in the second quarter of 2027. Stellantis plans to offer a mix of internal combustion, hybrid, plug‑in hybrid and battery‑electric powertrains, selecting options based on market demand and regulatory conditions.
Localisation is a key goal, with Stellantis targeting 90 % local content across all models, raising Jeep’s current 70–75 % level to match Citroën’s existing high rate. The company already operates about 300 sales and service locations, roughly 80 % of which use the Stellantis Brand House format that combines retail and after‑sales for both brands. Production will continue to support exports, with left‑hand‑drive variants destined for up to 50 countries and right‑hand‑drive models shipped to West Asia, Africa and Indonesia.
