Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Arc System Works have revealed additional characters for MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls. The announcement confirms four-versus-four tag fighting gameplay features for the title. This update adds to the existing roster of heroes and villains from across Marvel’s universe.
Four heroes are confirmed as part of Year One downloadable content. These additions include Phoenix Cyclops, Jane Foster’s Thor, Venom, and Jubilee from the X-Men. They follow a previously announced release for Phoenix Cyclops on November 2, 2026.
Subsequent characters follow in later months across different seasons. Jane Foster Thor will be released in Winter 2027 according to the schedule. Players will engage in fast-paced tag battles that emphasize synergy between character pairs.
There are conflicting reports regarding the timing for Venom and a new stage. One report lists the release in Spring 2026, while another states Spring 2027. Both sources agree it includes the Klyntar Stage on the planet of the symbiotes.
Reports also differ on Jubilee's arrival. Noisy Pixel lists spring 2027, while Push Square lists summer 2027.
Players can access the game on specific consoles and digital stores. MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls is available on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The franchise features a roster of heroes including Spider-Man, Wolverine, Iron Man, and Magneto.
Artwork for the new fighters was displayed to show their designs. The visuals feature Peach Momoko art, while new music is composed by Keiichi Okabea of MONACA. This composer is known for work on games like NieR.
