Sega announced the plans for the second year of Sonic Racing CrossWorlds. Players will receive new game modes and characters starting in November.

The updates officially begin on November 3, 2026. Everyone can access the changes after this date arrives.

A new Duel Mode lets two players race against each other directly. This uses a boost gauge that fills when items are used to give speed bursts.

Racing gadgets now use a special Grand Master Plate with an extra slot. That added slot makes basic one-slot gadgets stronger during races.

Three free characters will arrive over the coming months. Bayonetta comes first, followed by a McLaren machine and Aigis.

Any racer added to the game after launch will appear as an opponent. This includes both paid content and free unlockable drivers.

Paid DLC packs start with a Godzilla theme on day one. An Evangelion pack featuring characters like Rei arrives later in early 2027.

Other themed areas for the game include Sanrio, Segaland, and Final Fantasy VII Remake. A Persona Series pack is also scheduled to arrive before next year ends.

Base game prices have dropped immediately for new buyers entering the experience. Season Pass Two is available separately for twenty-nine dollars.

Special editions bundle the main game with future content passes for one purchase. Existing owners do not need to buy the Year Two Digital Deluxe Edition again.

The title runs on most modern gaming platforms including consoles and personal computers. It supports systems like Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
