Room6 has confirmed that the roguelike action title Reverie in the Moonlight will launch on both the new Switch 2 and the original Switch on November 19, 2026.

Reverie in the Moonlight pits players against waves of monsters that attack the main character, Little Tete, each night. Tete is protected by a cast of plush animals that players can command to fight. The story introduces Luna, a guide who teaches Tete how to use the plushies to defend himself.

The Switch 2 version adds new hardware features: the Joy‑Con 2 can be used as a mouse to control the plushies, and the game runs at a higher frame rate for smoother gameplay and visuals. Nintendo Everything also said that an upgrade pack will let Switch owners move to Switch 2 for a better experience.

During gameplay, players choose from 40 different plushie types, each with its own role such as short‑range attack, long‑range support, or healing. After surviving a monster wave, the gold collected can be spent on new plushies and over 100 items that can strengthen or weaken Tete’s abilities. This system encourages strategic planning for each night’s challenge.

In addition to the core gameplay, the game offers more than 20 costumes for Tete. Each outfit changes Tete’s strengths and weaknesses, forcing players to pair them with the right plushies and items to defeat the monsters. This adds another layer of strategy to the already complex system.

Room6 has released an official trailer that showcases the game’s visuals and mechanics. The title will be sold as a digital download on the Nintendo eShop.
