The footage centers on Jason and Lucia in Vice City, a city described as the sunniest place in America. A simple heist goes wrong, pulling them into a criminal conspiracy that stretches across the state of Leonida, and forcing them to rely on each other to survive. The trailer hints that Jason was dishonorably discharged from the military.
Music and Soundtrack
The trailer’s soundtrack is provided by French electronic duo Justice, who also composed the game's original score. The featured track, “Flower in a Hurricane,” includes guest performances by Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Rockstar announced that the full soundtrack, Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, is available to pre‑save on streaming services and to pre‑order on vinyl or CD.
Rockstar’s official trailer page notes that the footage plays best on PlayStation 5, while the game is planned to launch on both PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on 19 November 2026. The launch trailer is part of a series of videos that began with the 2023 reveal, followed by a 26‑minute extended look and earlier teasers.
