OpenAI said it would not cut usage limits for its $100, $200, and $500 ChatGPT Pro plans or Business Premium. Tibo, the face of ChatGPT and Codex on X, said the changes take effect immediately. The reversal followed user complaints about a planned 50% cut for Pro 200 subscribers after October 29. Tibo added, “We heard your kind feedback and won’t be reducing usage limits for Pro 200, so your Work and Codex usage will stay the same.” The Pro 200 plan stays at $200 a month, with more room to use Work and Codex.

What the change means for users

OpenAI did not give new numerical limits, but said all Pro tiers and Business Premium will get doubled allowances. The change mainly affects ChatGPT Work and Codex, which share usage limits under the eligible subscriptions.

OpenAI is also keeping extended usage limits for Dots, its always‑on AI assistants. The company explained that a user’s dot will stay separate from the default usage pool. It said, “We’re also going to continue offering extended limits for Dots for now, and usage of your dot will still continue to be separate from your default usage.”
