Nintendo’s upcoming action‑adventure, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake, introduces a new Master Display mode that removes all on‑screen information for an immersive experience. The update also keeps the Standard display, which shows the full interface, and a Pro display that cuts most elements but still leaves key indicators on screen. Players can select the mode that best fits their play style.
The Normal option displays the full interface, including Link’s hearts and other data, while the Pro setting strips most UI, similar to the minimalist view in Tears of the Kingdom, but still shows essential information. The Master mode goes further by removing every on‑screen element, even the Z‑target lock‑on indicator used when attacking enemies, forcing players to rely on Navi for guidance. This difference is highlighted in a preview by content creator Zeltik, who praised the Master mode for its heightened immersion.
Additional menu options in the remake include subtitles, voice language, controller vibration, button assignments, and the controls used to play the Ocarina. Zeltik’s two‑hour hands‑on preview highlighted the remake’s improved visuals, smoother movement, revamped combat, expanded dialogue, and redesigned dungeon layouts, while noting the new side quests, items, and story details that build on the original Nintendo 64 classic.
