Nintendo releases Ocarina of Time commercial for Switch 2

Nintendo UK released a new commercial for the upcoming Switch 2 that closely mirrors the 1998 Ocarina of Time advertisements for the Nintendo 64. The spot recreates the same key moments fans remember: Impa and Zelda running out of Hyrule Castle, Zelda throwing the ocarina, Link seeing Ganon chase them, Link riding a horse and confronting a Dodongo. It also features text captions that echo the theatrical title cards used in the original puppet‑theatre style ads.

Nintendo’s move shows the company is leaning on nostalgia to promote the Switch 2, using the iconic imagery of a beloved classic to generate excitement for the next‑generation console.
