A 30‑second trailer for the Switch 2 remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has been released. It shows fresh visual takes on the game’s iconic dungeons and bosses, including the Water Temple, Shadow Temple, and Spirit Temple. Reports say players can expect more than cosmetic changes from the remake.

In the clip the main hero fights a number of memorable enemies. Link battles a water creature with a hand‑like appendage in the Water Temple, and an enemy that appears to be an Iron Knuckle, a heavily armored foe seen in the Spirit Temple. He also travels on a ghostly ship with a skull on its front, likely heading to the Shadow Temple. The video also shows King Dodongo, the mini‑boss Dead Hand, and Dark Link, who dodges one of Link’s attacks.

Boss encounters revealed

The trailer also showcases gameplay updates that modernize classic mechanics. Manual jumping is one of the modernized controls, and the fairy bow can be aimed from a third‑person perspective. The hookshot gadget also gets the refreshed mechanics and camera options, which help players stay aware of their surroundings without sacrificing accuracy.

Beyond the familiar dungeons, Nintendo has announced a new location called the Hall of Fallen Heroes, where players can view defeated bosses and challenge them again. Some fans worry that enemies from the original game may feel too predictable with the updated controls, though previews have hinted at more cunning foes. Some new rooms are possible, but it is unclear whether the dungeons have been significantly expanded.
