Capcom announced that a free Prologue Demo of Monster Hunter Wilds will become available on the Nintendo Switch 2 on October 19. The demo can be downloaded immediately, with North American customers gaining access on October 19 and European players on October 20. Players can try the initial portion of the game without purchase, and the demo will run on the Switch 2’s hardware.
The demo supports local multiplayer, letting friends play together on a single console, but it does not include online multiplayer. When the full title releases on December 4, players who have saved progress in the demo can transfer that data to the complete game. Digital pre‑orders for the full game will also open on the same day the demo is released.
In addition, the title will feature full cross‑platform play, a Game‑Key Card release, and a special Switch 2 bundle in Japan.
