Konami Group announced its Integrated Report for the fiscal year ending March 2026. The report covers corporate values, financials and strategy across entertainment, and includes a Digital Entertainment section where President Hideki Hayakawa comments on emerging technologies. Hayakawa explains that generative AI is a topic of interest for the company.

Hayakawa’s view on AI

Hayakawa said generative AI will not bring a significant change to the game market. He argues that entry barriers were already lowered by generic game engines and user‑generated content. Even if AI improves production efficiency, he believes people and creators are essential to producing entertaining and innovative games. He emphasizes that teamwork and the exchange of ideas drive new gameplay experiences.

Hayakawa views technological advancements as opportunities for new experiences. Konami plans systematic support so creators can learn, assess risks and apply new tech safely. The company has also increased salaries for a fourth consecutive year, underscoring its belief that human resources drive competitiveness.
