Konami has released three well-received Silent Hill titles in succession. Producer Motoi Okamoto says the company is relieved and satisfied with their success. All three initially announced titles were able to be released successfully and received high praise. This marks the end of the first wave, which was announced in 2022.
Okamoto confirms they are not stopping at the first wave. They are currently looking at a number of projects for the second and third waves. He stated earlier this year that Konami wanted to release a new Silent Hill yearly. However, specific details remain unknown and subsequent projects have yet to be dated.
One upcoming project includes Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 1 Remake. This title was announced last year for PS5 with a PC version considered likely. The studio is renowned for its work on Silent Hill 2 Remake which launched in 2024.
Silent Hill 2 Remake reached over five million players worldwide earlier this year. It crossed 2.5 million shipments in October 2025 before adding to PlayStation Plus later that month. An Xbox Series X/S version would release in November 2025.
The review for Silent Hill: Townfall scored it a nine. The publication praised its visuals, storytelling and characterization. Sales figures for this title remain uncertain.
