9 Oct 2026

The release date for the anime has changed. Crunchyroll confirmed the show will now start in 2028. It was originally planned to launch in 2027.

This project adapts the multiplayer mode of a popular PlayStation game. It frames the samurai action with more supernatural elements. Very little plot detail has been shared so far.

Mayumi Saco joins the voice cast for the new series. She will play an undisclosed role in the story. Her specific part remains unknown to the public.

Saco previously voiced Tomoe in the original game. That character was a skilled archer and student of Sensei Ishikawa. Fans hope she might return as that same warrior.

Shinya Fukumatsu also signs on as a new actor. He is recognized for his role as Bomb in One Punch Man. His part in the anime remains unannounced.

Takanobu Mizuno directs this series at Kamikaze Douga studio. He directed the Duel episode of Star Wars Visions previously. This experience leads him to helm the new show.

Gen Urobuchi works on the story composition and script. He co-writes with Renji Oki for the project. They build the narrative foundation together.

Keiji Inai serves as the composer for the score. Sound director Yoshikazu Iwanami leads the audio team. Yasumasa Koyama is listed as the sound effects artist.

Gyousyou Suzuki creates the title calligraphy for the project. He once worked on calligraphy for a Barakamon live adaptation. His style marks the opening titles of the show.

HAYATE produces the anime with Aniplex and PlayStation Productions. Sony Music handles the music and soundtrack as partners. The series streams exclusively on Crunchyroll upon release.
