The recall was issued because the analog speedometer or tachometer may display an incorrect speed or engine rpm, which could lead to unsafe driving.
The recall covers 2025–2026 Super Duty models, including the F‑250, F‑350, F‑450, F‑550 and F‑600, which were built between December 14 2024 and April 17 2026. An additional 10,570 2026 F‑150 trucks built from August 22 2025 to May 12 2026, and one 2026 F‑750 built on November 21 2025, are also included.
The problem is caused by deficiencies in the supplier’s manufacturing process, leading to speedometer or tachometer needles that stick, operate improperly or give inaccurate readings. No crashes, fires or injuries have been reported.
Ford will mail interim owner notifications between October 26 and October 30, and final letters explaining the remedy from December 7 to December 11. Owners are asked to bring their vehicles to a Ford or Lincoln dealer where technicians will replace the gauge cluster free of charge.
