Ember and Blade Enters Early Access on PC in January 2027

Ember & Blade will launch in Early Access on PC for Steam and Epic Games Store on January 8, 2027, developer LINE Games Corporation announced today. The dark fantasy roguelite follows Fenrix, a cursed immortal fighting to stop the archdemon Asmodeus. While the PC release opens immediately, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series ports are slated to arrive later, along with the full 2027 launch.

The announcement comes after Demo 2.0, now available for PC, overhauled the game’s combat system. Players can string light and heavy strikes into fluid combos thanks to a reworked action and stamina mechanic, while a new shotgun joins Fenrix’s arsenal. Angelic Blessings can now be linked directly to attacks and dashes, unleashing effects without draining stamina, and completing Blessing Link Sets grants extra bonuses. Arcana cards and Runes provide further build options.

Demo 2.0 also updated enemy behavior. Monsters now react differently to hits and environmental triggers, introduce a new Break state, and elite fights feature redesigned encounters. Control options and visibility have been expanded, and the elevator system was overhauled. The Sanctuary now changes with the time of day, and players can meet friendly marimos outside combat.
