El Paso, Elsewhere 2, the neo‑noir third‑person shooter from Strange Scaffold and Frosty Pop, has just released a free demo on Steam. The demo, which comes with a new trailer, lets players step back into the game’s world for a single level set in a fairytale forest filled with witches, gargoyles, and vampire mafiosos. The early sample showcases the sequel’s expanded environments and the first look at its new weapons.
Demo Details
Inside the demo, James Savage can now use a range of new firearms—including an M16 and an automatic shotgun—alongside the series’ original revolvers and a tommy gun that fires vampire‑killing stakes. He also gains vampiric powers that let him dive through thin air, back‑flip off enemies, and feed on the blood released when he stakes foes. The game promises more than 20 handcrafted levels, fully voiced cutscenes, and a soundtrack that blends a horror hip‑hop rap album by RJ Lake with an instrumental score from Chicago producer kalibration.
El Paso, Elsewhere 2 is slated for a 2027 launch on PC via Steam and on Xbox Series X|S. Players can already download the demo to get a feel for the combat and narrative that the full title will deliver.
