After BioWare closed, reports say EA removed all Mass Effect–themed cosmetics from Battlefield 6. The removal includes player card backgrounds, weapon skins, charms, stickers, sprays, and soldier patches that had been listed as unavailable. The removal was reported by user BFBulletin, who noted the items may have been planned for a November release close to N7 Day.

BioWare announced its closure after more than 30 years, saying early development on the next Mass Effect project was ending. An alleged EA employee engaged with the community on Reddit, noting a trailer for the canceled game and expressing confusion over the “early development” announcement. The studio’s final statement thanked players and highlighted its legacy franchises.
