Dragon Quest Smash/Grow unveils Dragon Quest IV crossover

Square Enix has announced that its mobile roguelite RPG, Dragon Quest Smash/Grow, will host a Dragon Quest IV crossover event that starts on 20 October and runs through 15 December, coinciding with the game’s half‑anniversary celebration.

Players will encounter Dragon Quest IV characters and can raise bond levels with them to unlock Ally Blessings, special abilities that summon the characters during stages. In a later update, Memoria Skills will be added; these activate when a Character Memory reaches Rank S and is equipped in a starred slot that matches its color, allowing the summoned allies to remain available after the event.

Half‑Anniversary Rewards and Bonuses

Half‑anniversary rewards will include login bonuses up to five thousand free gems and a promotion that increases gold and Adventurer Rank EXP earned from certain stages until 4 November for players at Adventurer Rank 29 or below.

The update also brings the Zenithian equipment set, featuring the Zenithian Sword with its Coup de Grâce Zenithian Strike that deals wind damage and a Zenithian Blast Enchantment that fires six wind‑infused blasts on every tenth mighty strike. Dragon Quest Smash/Grow remains available on iOS and Android.
