Danaher Corp. and Nvidia Corp. have announced a partnership to merge Danaher’s scientific instrumentation, automation technologies, laboratory workflow software, and domain expertise with Nvidia’s accelerated computing and AI platforms. The goal is to create a learning cycle in which experiments feed models and the models design better experiments, thereby moving scientists faster from prediction to experimental evidence.

AI and lab tools combine

Under the agreement, the partners are integrating AI into scientific instruments through edge computing with NVIDIA DGX Spark, accelerated analytics and data processing with RAPIDS, and real‑time inference, scientific reasoning and foundation model technologies such as BioNeMo Open Models. Initial work focuses on a select group of priority instruments, with plans to expand across a broader portfolio over time.

Earlier this month, Danaher announced plans to launch its first AI‑powered autonomous lab, which will combine AI, robotics, and technologies from several Danaher operating companies into one connected workflow. The lab is part of a broader internal program to build a fleet of smart instruments that are easy to integrate, control programmatically, and include agentic systems designed to simplify operations, improve data quality, and generate deeper insights.
