Cyberpunk 2077 adds new mods, Edgerunners content

With Patch 2.5, Cyberpunk 2077 players on PS5 can add 52 user‑created mods directly from the game’s main menu. The mods list includes new quests built from existing assets, romance‑enhancement tweaks, quality‑of‑life fixes such as extended delivery timers, faster checkpoint progression, and cosmetic options like eye colours and hairstyles. When a save file contains mods, a special icon appears so players can distinguish it from a vanilla playthrough, and trophies are disabled for those saves.

The free Edgerunners 2 Update brings a new quest that connects the game’s world with the Netflix anime. V is hired by a fixer named Wakako to help the famed merc Weak Kingsley and his crew, leading to a high‑stakes mission in Night City Prison. The update also adds Weak’s full outfit, his signature revolver Coronation, a new radio station with official tracks from the series, and a prequel narrative that can be played before or after watching the show.

Combat and visual flair received fresh options. Players can now dual‑wield pistols or revolvers, adding a new dynamic to fights and making use of the game’s most significant combat change since the Throwing Knife update. Cyberware can be customized in style and colour thanks to new glamdocs vendors, and a suite of 20 new hairstyles and clothing sets expands V’s visual options. Mods integration also opens a new Mods panel where players can browse community content on a cross‑platform basis.

The update further streamlines gameplay with item‑stash filters, separate save libraries for each V, and a photo mode featuring dual‑wield poses and card‑inspired frames. Cross‑platform mod support via mod.io allows players on PC and consoles to share mods, while Xbox Play Anywhere lets a single purchase run on both Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC with seamless save transfer.
