The 2026 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series championship race is tighter than ever, with only four races left. The top five drivers are separated by 40 points, and the series leader Sheldon Creed sits at the top. Rookie Corey Day, a Hendrick Motorsports driver, is now third in the standings, just seven points behind Creed. Day has made huge gains in the last two races, winning at Las Vegas and Charlotte. The back‑to‑back victories have moved him into the title hunt.

Day told SiriusXM NASCAR Radio that he is confident the season will keep moving forward. He said he will not change his approach for the final four races, stating he wants to keep momentum rolling. Day acknowledged that an unbeaten streak would be a tall task but said Hendrick Motorsports is building cars capable of that performance. He added that the team is preparing as needed and believes everything is working well.

If Day wins the title, he will become the fourth rookie to claim the championship in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, joining Chase Elliott (2014), William Byron (2017) and Ty Gibbs (2022). He celebrated his back‑to‑back victories by saying he is right where he wants to be and will continue to fight for the lead. The 20‑year‑old from Clovis, California, is excited to keep pushing. His confidence shows that he believes the Hendrick cars can handle the final races.
