The new F 450 RR is a fully faired supersport that follows the F 450 GS and F 450 R, and it inherits the styling of BMW’s flagship S 1000 RR. Its 420‑cc liquid‑cooled parallel‑twin engine puts out 48 hp at 8,750 rpm and 43 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm, with a 135‑degree crankpin offset and a balance shaft that keep power delivery smooth. The bike accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 177 km/h, while a 14‑litre tank and a fuel‑efficiency rating of 3.8 L/100 km give it a calculated range of more than 350 km. Its tubular‑steel space frame uses the engine as a load‑bearing element; front suspension is a 43 mm KYB upside‑down fork and the rear a KYB mono‑shock, and it rides on 17‑inch alloy wheels with 110/70‑17 front and 150/60‑17 rear tyres. Braking is handled by a 310‑mm front disc with a Brembo four‑piston caliper and a 240‑mm rear disc with a ByBre caliper, and the bike comes with ABS Pro, Dynamic Traction Control, Dynamic Brake Control and engine drag‑torque control. Standard riding modes are Rain, Road and Race, and the 6.5‑inch TFT display offers connectivity, heated grips, USB‑C charging and full LED lighting.
BMW will offer the F 450 RR in four equipment configurations: Base, Sport, M Sport and M Sport with Innovation Package. The Base version, available in Cosmic Black, has a 790‑mm seat height and no Shift Assistant Pro, while the Sport adds Shift Assistant Pro and sport suspension. The M Sport variants are finished in Snaefell white/M Motorsport colours, include Riding Modes Pro, Shift Assistant Pro and sport suspension, and the top‑spec model adds an Easy Ride Clutch that automatically engages and disengages the clutch based on engine speed. The Ready‑to‑ride weight is 177 kg, rising to 178 kg with the Easy Ride Clutch. The bike is manufactured by TVS Motors at its Hosur plant and is slated for a possible Indian launch in 2027.
