Bazzite Linux has announced that it is testing support for the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X20 and the Acer Predator Atlas. The developers are calling on the community to help find issues before the devices are considered properly supported.
On the ROG Xbox Ally X20, display support is complete, including variable refresh rate and HDR. The back buttons are fully mappable, and sleep/wake has worked well in testing, though users are asked to capture logs if they find problems. TDP control is working, though custom TDP settings still need investigation. RGB lighting support is expected with upcoming Open Gaming Collective drivers. Fan control will eventually be handled through OGUI plugins, and Decky plugins such as Panel de Control may offer a workaround in the meantime.
On the Acer Predator Atlas, initial button mapping is available so it can be used for games. Holding the Guide button and the QAM/Predator button opens the side menus. Tap functionality needs upstream drivers, which are already in progress, while M1 and M2 do not work yet. The gyroscope does not work in Linux. Developers hope more people will test the device and report back.
