Avatr officially unveiled its T09 concept vehicle on October 11 at the 2026 Paris Motor Show. The full event runs from October 12 to 18 and includes other models like the Avatr 06T and 07L. This introduction marks the debut of the brand's new flagship series designed for the luxury SUV segment.
Chairman Chen Zhuo stated the T09 defines a Flagship series focused on respectful luxury and prestige. He explained this complements the existing Digital series which features effortless and sporty design elements. This creates two distinct product lines under the Avatr brand commitment to originality.
The exterior utilizes a new Vision Xpectra design language characterized by calm and confident aesthetics. Its front fascia features a grille with 362 distinct logo elements of varying heights. Crystal-array lighting units use dual-layer diamond-cutting technology for the illumination system.
Inside, the cabin introduces a Vortex emotional interaction system embedded with 118 RGB LED matrix lights. This setup anchors an immersive triple-screen display featuring a 10.25-inch instrument cluster. Dual 17.2-inch screens flank the center console and front passenger area for information access.

Technical specifications rely on data from Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology filings released in September. Two powertrain options exist, utilizing either a 1.5-litre or 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine combined with electric motors. Both variants use a 71.24 kWh ternary lithium battery sourced from CATL for extended-range capability.
CarNewsChina reported the vehicle is positioned to compete in the 500,000 yuan segment. While Changan Auto offers both EV and EREV options for other models, the T09 in China only provides the latter powertrain version. The production model kerb weight is listed between 2880kg and 3035kg according to government data.
Regarding international availability, CarNewsChina noted a scheduled official market launch in 2026. However, CarExpert reported the production version for export markets outside of China likely won't be ready until at least 2028. This distinction separates domestic timing from the global rollout schedule for right-hand drive regions.
Avatr has already expanded its footprint to 70 countries with profitability in overseas markets. The brand aims to enter over 110 countries and regions by 2030. Spain and Norway are set to receive the European rollout early next year, with other markets following.
