On October 16, 2026 AtomTeam marked its tenth year with a major update to the post‑apocalyptic RPG ATOM RPG and the launch of a new DLC called Plague Island. The update adds a new map that players reach by air, a sealed Soviet war bunker, more than 25 new NPCs and dozens of quests, and a long‑requested Power Armor suit. The DLC also introduces new locations, characters, a new car, and a range of new gear and weapons. A new trailer was released to preview the island.

The accompanying patch, version 1.2.1, pulls the game out of beta and fixes a series of bugs that affected loading, map transitions, and game speed. It adds enhanced controller and gamepad support, improves inventory, minimap, HUD, and character animation, and refines weapon modification screens and ammunition rules. Visual changes include better lighting, ambient occlusion, and anti‑aliasing, while audio and video loading times are reduced. The DLC is priced at $8.99 on Steam and is available for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Steam Deck, though early reports warn that new enemies and terrain can challenge low‑level characters.
