Vertigo Games announced that its remake of Arizona Sunshine will be released on January 21, 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The launch will feature a Standard Edition priced at $24.99 and a Deluxe Edition at $29.99. Players who pre‑order receive 48 hours of early access and the Desert Raiders Pack, which contains skins for the protagonist Sunny and his dog Buddy.
The Deluxe Edition adds the Neon Wastelander Pack, Fred’s Fashion Pack, and a Legacy DLC pack that contains the original VR campaign and its additional content, but the Legacy DLC will not be available at launch. The Legacy DLC will be released later and includes the Legacy: Dead Man and Legacy: The Damned expansions.
Unlike the original VR title, the remake is a flat‑screen third‑person shooter built on the foundation of Arizona Sunshine 2, featuring brutal zombie combat, new weapons such as flamethrowers, and fully playable co‑op where the dog Buddy can also be controlled. Players can fight side‑by‑side in split‑screen or online co‑op, adding a new layer of cooperative gameplay.
