Apple announced a special product launch, dubbed “Pro and Tell,” scheduled for Wednesday, October 28 at 10 am Pacific/1 pm Eastern in Los Angeles. The company has invited trusted bloggers and influencers to attend the event and will use the session to present new hardware. It is part of a series of releases that have kept Apple busy this year.

MacBook Pro lineup

The headline attraction will be a pair of touchscreen MacBook Pro laptops. Apple plans to release new 14‑inch and 16‑inch models that are lighter than current versions, feature a Dynamic Island that replaces the notch, and offer M5 Pro and M5 Max processors. A revised base 14‑inch MacBook Pro will also appear, powered by the current design but with an M6 processor.

In addition to the MacBook Pro, the event will reveal a new iMac that keeps the familiar 24‑inch body but runs on an M6 chip and may add Wi‑Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 support. The iPad Mini will finally get an OLED display, a faster A19 Pro or A20 Pro processor, a repositioned FaceTime camera, and revamped speakers.

Apple expects the new devices to become available for purchase a week after the announcement, on November 6. The launch follows a flurry of other releases earlier in the year, including the iPhone Pro 18 series, a fold‑able Duo phone, the Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4, AirPods 5 earbuds, and several new smart‑home products.

With the “Pro and Tell” event, Apple continues to expand its lineup, offering a touchscreen MacBook Pro lineup for the first time and adding new high‑end features to its iMac and iPad Mini. The company’s focus on innovation and timely updates keeps it a central player in consumer electronics.
