Apple’s Self‑Service Repair store now offers genuine replacement parts and the necessary tools for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, the M5 Max and M5 Ultra Mac Studio, and the M6 and M5 Pro Mac mini. The program, launched in 2022, lets technically skilled owners perform repairs themselves instead of visiting a Genius Bar or an authorized service provider.
Owners of the iPhone 18 Pro family can buy parts for the back glass, battery, bottom speaker, camera, display, enclosure, front camera, logic board, main microphone, SIM tray, Taptic Engine and top speaker. The camera module costs $249, but Apple offers a $59.76 credit for the return of the original camera, reducing the net price to $189.24.
Mac Studio and Mac mini
For the Mac Studio, replacement options include Thunderbolt and USB‑C ports, fans, speakers, SSD modules, logic boards and power supplies. The Mac mini offers parts for fans, speakers, logic boards, batteries and power supplies. All these items are available for the newer M5 and M6 chip models.
Customers can order the parts and choose to buy or rent the specialized tools that Apple provides, such as adhesive cutters, suction cups, nylon probes, torque drivers and screws. The Self‑Service Repair Store also supplies step‑by‑step repair manuals, and the program is currently active in the U.S., Canada and Europe.
The launch of the new parts coincided with Apple’s announcement of expanded partnerships with U.S. suppliers that produce components for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo.
