Alpine has unveiled the A310 Vision concept car at the 2026 Paris Motor Show. The event marks the 55th anniversary of the original sports car introduced in 1971. This show car serves as a tribute to the company's heritage and design history.
Designers used a classic A310 as a living reference to capture key proportions. The result combines the simpler shape of the four-cylinder model with the muscular stance of the V6 version. It measures 4.55 metres in length and just 1.18 metres in height.
The exterior features narrow LED headlights, a massive front splitter, and bulging wheel arches. A giant aluminum clamshell covers the rear instead of the original's huge window. Digital wing mirrors and door panels with clear elements are also present on the vehicle.
The bodywork uses a mix of materials to update the classic look. The upper sections are made from aluminium while lower parts have a black organic treatment inspired by Formula 1. Three-spoke alloy wheels described as A-shaped finish the exterior profile.
Inside the cabin, transparent door sections reveal bold colours and physical controls. The switchgear design references high-end audio equipment rather than modern touchscreen interfaces. This interior layout complements the retro aesthetic of the exterior bodywork.
Underneath the concept lies the Alpine Performance Platform used for electric vehicles. This modular chassis combines battery power with maximum driver engagement for future models. It serves as the backbone for the next all-electric Alpine A110 as well.
Alpine officially describes the concept as a creative exploration rather than an announcement of a production model. However, reports suggest the brand is working on a new four-seat fastback GT based on this architecture. Industry observers note spy shots from early 2025 showed similar proportions to the concept.
A product plan from mid-2023 indicated a new A310 would launch by 2030 on the same platform as the A110. The final form remains somewhat mysterious regarding how closely it will match the concept design. Some speculation suggests a convertible version could also be sold alongside the fastback GT.
